Invoice formating

Xlab

Question

While researching WHMCS functionality, I found a reference to the capability of modifying invoice templates.

While looking at the demo version, I could not find how to do this, nor anything about it in the documentation.

1. Is it possible to completely redefine the invoice template?

2. Is it possible to have several invoice templates, and assign one of the templates to a specific client?

If your answers are yes, please point me to the section in the documentation.

If I can define my own invoice template, I'll be ordering immediately.

Hi,

Yes, you can fully customise both the invoice templates in the client area and the PDF download. Regarding different invoice templates for different users, that is possible through the user of a custom field on the client which will allow you to choose which invoice to use and then in your template code you would display the relevant layout depedant upon that field value.

The templates are just regular HTML & PHP files so there isn't any documentation as such - you would just use your favourite HTML editor to customise them.

Check out the wiki on pdfconfig, there's some doco there. There's also an actual code example provided with WHMCS, and if you search the forums there are a number of customized versions out there that willl give you more of an idea. In case I'm being vague, you can alter the actual code that generates the PDF invoice that is emailed to clients, so you can do almost anything.

Great product; you will enjoy it a lot.
