Paypal and credits not removed

I signed up a new customer manually after a eBay payment and put his payment into credit, I wanted to give him 14 days free, I set up next payment due in 14 days. After 14 days the invoice is automatically paid due to the credit amount and a receipt is sent out, however the credit amount is not removed from his profile, is this correct and do I have to remove it manually?
