Direct Admin user upgrades

I've read elsewhere on this forum that it might be possible to define upgrades on WHMCS for DirectAdmin. This would be for only increasing disk usage or bandwidth on the existing account. This is separate from the user simply upgrading to the next package, which should work without problems.

I spoke with the DirectAdmin support, and according to them this can only be done via an API call that modifies the user's account. Once he account is modified it no longer matches any of the existing user packages.

Does anyone know how to create, for example, a disk usage only package in DirectAdmin so that the WHMCS Configurable Options or upgrades can easily be used? From what I've heard this probably isn't possible, but I wanted to check here before reaching that conclusion. The Configurable Hosting Package Addon for DirectAdmin support is listed as "pending", so that won't work for me as of yet.

Thanks!

I contacted DirectAdmin support, and the only way to add bandwidth or storage to an account (aside from changing plans) is to run an API call that customizes their package. This would make their package unique from other packages.

From my understanding this makes it impossible to control via WHMCS.
