delator
hey - i've added my client's domains to whmcs. i have already paid for the renewal. i have also created the invoice for them to pay for the domain renewal. what do i do with the domain's status? i've set the expiry date and next due date to: 2009/09/01 and do i set the status to 'pending' if i want the system to accept his money via payment of invoice, but not to send the domain to be renewed in the registrar? domain = active, invoice = still due. ---- money paid, system sends off for renewal again? domain = pending, invoice = still due. --- money paid, system does nothing is that correct?
delator
okay, when it's in pending or active status, it's still sending off to the registrar. i've had to put my registrar into test mode so it won't keep using up the money on our account. please someone explain the domain status to me ^__^ (i've already manually renewed the domain - i don't want the system to renew the domains again once their invoices have been paid!)
jamin1317
One work around would be to delete or cancel the invoice. Then create an adhoc invoice and put domain renewal in the description. That way the invoice wouldn't actually be associated with the domain name and wouldn't trigger a renewal when paid.
delator
i got around this problem by turning off the 'automatic renewal if domain registar is support' under the configuration -> domains.
