kjevans
Hi, I have a few questions regarding dealing with domains within WHMCS. When it comes to account creation everything works fine until a client orders Domain Transfer. For the moment I have disable the 'Allow clients to transfer a domain to you' option in Configuration>Domains but in the Client Area when a client chooses Order, Transfer Domain appears under the 'Browse Products & Services' heading. Although it seems that the function does not actually work, I would like to remove it from appearing here, how do I do that? My next question is, if I wanted client to be able to transfer their existing name, how is this done. I am a domain reseller with resellerclub and have not had a problem with selling new domains but don't know where to start if a client wished to transfer their current domain from the domain host that it is with now, to me. What setup within WHMCS or my ResellerClub account do I need to have? Finally a question about pricing and recurring amounts. I suppose this question could relate to hosting packages also but I only really need information concerning domains. OK, a client orders a new domain from me at a certain price and obviously this is a recurring cost, recurring at a period that I have setup within WHMCS, usually 1 year, and at a price that I have set. The client pays via PayPal subscription. Now I find out that there is a cost price increase for this tld so I need the client to pay the new price when the domain comes up for renewal. How do I change their recurring amount? ------ Also a question for Matt, is it possible to be sent via email an updated price list for the domains at resellerclub when the prices change? I only happened to look by chance the other day to find that the prices had increased. Regards Kirk
chickendippers
1. Remove it from the /orderforms/cart template 2. You don't need to do anything. It follows the standard procedure for transferring domain names. 3. Domain names don't create subscriptions. PayPal don't allow you to change the price of a subscription, so you'll need to cancel it and have the client create a new one when they go to renew. If you don't, the invoice will only be partially paid and the product won't be renewed.

Hi, thanks for the swift response but as for #2, yesterday was the first time that a client had chose to transfer a domain and I got these two errors via email:- Client ID: 0000000010 Product/Service: netezReseller Domain: gamegurunetwork.com Error: Curl Error - couldn't connect to host (7) and then Client ID: 0000000010 Domain: gamegurunetwork.com Error: Domain Registration Error - Domain Secret should be 6 to32 characters long Could this possible be because I have recently changed servers and have the incorrect server listed in WHMCS? chickendippers
The first error is a server error see: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Common_Troubleshooting_Tips#Server_Command_Error_-_Curl_Error_-_Couldn.27t_connect_to_host_.287.29 The second error is caused by the customer entering an incorrect EPP code (AKA domain secret or authorisation code).
