Support Depts, email addresses, & admins

Hey all,

Sorry for such a noob question here but I just started messing around with WHMCS last night. In the Configuration > Support Departments I created sales, support and billing dept names with sales@mydomain.com, support@mydomain.com and billing@mydomain.com. In my Configuration > Administrators section there's just one person (me) with me@mydomain.com. So I went into "edit" and assigned myself the sales, support and billing depts.

I logged in to the client area and sent 3 test emails, one to each dept. But since I assigned myself for all 3 depts, instead of getting emails at sales@mydomain.com, support@mydomain.com and billing@mydomain.com I just got 3 emails at me@mydomain.com.

Obviously I'm not understanding the assignments. Do I need to create 3 different admins and assign them different roles? That way I could enter the email address for each dept and it would go where it needs to go?

Maybe I'm over-complicating the whole thing? Should I just stick with 1 or 2 different email accounts on my domain? Any help you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated!

In your admin profile you have entered me@mydomain.com - this is where new ticket notification and system emails will be sent to you.

When you respond to a ticket a customer will see the sender as sales@mydomain.com, support@mydomain.com or billing@mydomain.com. They will also be able to send emails to these addresses and have them appear in the ticket system.
