lcorbett
Hi All, I'm in the process of integrating WHMCS into my site. Basically, all I've done is create a Login/Register link on my site, and tweaked the style of the WHMCS interface. I changed the name of my admin folder, and I THINK it's working as it should. My site: http://www.ravensheart.biz/HostPlans.htm Username email: abc@def.com PW: abcdef Suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance. Cnahost
Its nice but. The white lines around every whmcs picture makes it look a little bad.
BionicInternet
Its alright I guess but jesus, my eyes!
redrat
Actually it is very messy and also hurts my eyes, not to mention my brain. The word, 'bilious', springs to mind. I did login to the client area and the general mess I encountered is not at all helped by the poorly cut-out icons showing jagged white ghosting on a dark background. Once you get into the Client Area there is no way back to the main site, not even when you log out. You could at least link your logo to the index page but some other easy form of navigation site wide should be provided. This is a very basic requirement of any site, especially a commercial one. I took the trouble whilst visiting your site to look at your portfolio of web site designs and must say that they are all somewhat similarly amateur in appearance to your own site's design. I see that you are a Template Monster reseller and you could usefully learn from those designs whilst creating your own. Well, I do not wish in any to rain on your parade. However, you did invite feedback and neither will I be patronising. In short, your whole site is simply awful from the ground up and it appears as if your business model will forever keep you at the bottom of the food chain. My advice is to change both and start over. Best wishes and good luck.
DataHosts
I have to admit that this layout is not a nice one. It does hurt the eyes, the CA was terrible with color scheme. The blue info is a major contrast on colors. I also hate to be a pain with the comments but honestly I would rate 2 out of 10 on this one. I would honestly suggest redoing it.
handsonwebhosting
As with the others who have expressed pain when viewing the site I'm right there with them. There's a reason that newspapers are black and white and magazines are in black and white, and the forums (most forums) have an almost white background with black text. It's what people are used to seeing. Confusing them with graphics in the background and yellow text requires people actually slow down when reading. While the background is pretty from your standpoint the purpose of your site should be sales. Give the people what they want and what they're used to. If anything, have a look at some of the other webhosts here on the forums or check out some of the big name hosts. You'll never see CNN or MSN or Yahoo! take their NEWS pages and put big graphics on the background. Sure they have those blinking graphics and videos on the side, but putting it behind the information that their visitors are actaully searching for is not good business sense. White space is your friend.

Velda
Thank you all for your honesty... Just saw you browsing our site .. for what it's worth, from another hands-on person, I think you definitely need more whitespace... but that space does not necessarily have to be white. Start with a nice layout that has some good solid space around it. Then you can get creative with the colors. Just remember that whatever colors you use, if you were to look at the page IN black and white and with your eyes half-crossed, it should still be very clear what parts of the page you should look at first, etc. FWIW, -Velda
Velda
Oh, and when choosing colors - try to work with two to three colors and their tints and shades. Just saw the whmcs area (I'd missed it before) and the yellow color there clashes with your other backgrounds.
