talker
Hi, I am not sure if i have something wrongly setup.. however.. I am using PHP Mail() setting to SEND MAILS I am using /pipe/pop.php cronjob at 5 minute interval to get the support tickets. I am NOT using the direct email piping method. Whenever i get a spam email that has no valid replyto email address, which is very often a few almost everyday, my open tickets flood with postmaster replies that the email address does not exist. Here is a screenshot.. I have to manually delete hundreds of tickets everyday.. this is really annoying. I would appreciate if someone can please guide me on what to do.. Thanks.
donnyboy
What I was told to do when I submitted a ticket to the whmcs staff about this was to simply block the spammer's email address. Idk that was their solution for me.
talker
Thats not really a solution for this.... there must be some other way for sure. So many postmaster email replies are because whmcs replies to every postmaster email and the loop continues. Anyone else has a solution or idea?
donnyboy
blocked the email address postmaster* i believe whmcs lets you use wildcards for blocking emails or block Mailer-Daemon* so you don't receive the errors which in turn cause the infinite loop
talker
blocked the email address postmaster* i believe whmcs lets you use wildcards for blocking emails or block Mailer-Daemon* so you don't receive the errors which in turn cause the infinite loop What i did was used the Configuration > Spam Control and blocked the subject "Delivery Status Notification" that helped me block those emails. Can someone please confirm if WHMCS allows you to block emails using wildcards? like dannyboy mentioned... postmaster* I want someone that uses these to confirm if wildcards work.
