Support Tickets Not Viewable

I am sure this is something i have mucked up, but have looked around and cannot find the setting. here is the scenario:

 

ticket comes in

support or sales staff view the ticket

the ticket disappears

set the ticket as any status, and it still does not show up when you click view all support tickets.

 

 

this is driving me mad. what do i need to do to get this corrected?
