Anyone have a trick for "SSL" renewal billing and staff notification?

 

We like to setup yearly auto SSL renewals for customers.

If they sign up for an auto SSL they can get a small discount as important we need to bill the customer for the SSL and then notify or remind us to renew it.

 

Right now we track this via our payment gateway and also a stand along task manager.
