bhavicp
Hey, I've just recently brought WHMCS, and i need help setting up the POP3 / Piping feature where it gets and responds to emails sent to a email (Support department). I've currently got my email hosted with gmail. And i'm not sure what piping is, and i've tryed setting up pop3 but it doesn't seem to get the email from my gmail inbox. POP3 IS enabled in setting on my gmail account (Status: POP is enabled for all mail that has arrived since 4:13 pm) If anyone would be able to give me steps on how to get POP3 working?

shoggy24
As much as i love whmcs, the support ticket has been my headache, email piping is not consistent and the problem is not restricted to gmail. Recently submitting a ticket from the client area is not displaying anything either. I use Plesk so maybe it works better with cpanel.

bhavicp
Hey, i have done the stuff on http://wiki.whmcs.com/Email_Piping:_Google_Apps Apart from: Here's one of the "gotchas" in getting this set up. You must enable Imap-SSL/Pop3-SSL with your webserver's php installation. Many times you will need to contact your hosting providers to do this for you. The reason for that is because Google Mail services will only accept secured connections. I have access to the server that runs PHP5, But i don't where and what to change in the config files to enable Imap-ssl /pop3-ssl . If anyone would know, I'm running Debian with Apache2 and Php5 and Dovecot IMAP/POP3 Server , Postfix Mail Server . Or If anyone could do it for me if i provide them with details.
BionicInternet
Firstly, get your mail hosted on the same box as WHMCS. Secondly, if it has cPanel, go to eMail forwarders >> add new Thirdly, once done, check Utilities then mail import log.

PHBuddy
Ask your host to open outgoing port 995. This solved my problem
