trappedatuf
My hosting service is very hands-on and we provide full website design services. I'm going to give you an example of our process and how I've replicated this in WHMCS: 1. My marketing agency partner (affiliate) refers a website to me and he gets a 25% commission on the initial design. This is done in person so I don't really have to make use of the affiliate link. Let's say this intial design costs $5000. 2. I quote the customer and create the website. 3. Now, I put this new customer into WHMCS and I set them up on recurring billing for my monthly hosting fee. That part is simple. 4. I create a new invoice in WHMCS for the outstanding website design payment due of $5000. NOW HERE'S THE NUT'S AND BOLTS... I want to award the affiliate 25% of that invoice payment when they send it in. Sure, I can (and am) doing this on my own right now, but I'd like to put them in as an affiliate and show I paid them 25% ($1250) because I'd like to look at a report and see how much I've paid my affiliates! That would be awesome to have that info in one place in my WHMCS. Hopefully you guys can let me know how I can make my vision a reality!
chickendippers
When you add an order into WHMCS you can choose a referer before you accept the order, so you don't need to use the affiliate link.
trappedatuf
I get that... but I want to give an affiliate just commission on ONE invoice. The initial design invoice. How would I go about doing that?
chickendippers
I believe that's the way it operates by default, unless you enable recurring commission. As far as I know WHMCS can only attribute a commission to an order, not a manually generated invoice.
handsonwebhosting
Tested and verified that. Yes, it is a one time deal on manual invoices.
