Mark Donne
Hi, Does anyone use the [RootUsername] or [RootPassword] merge fields? If you do what is the difference between them and the [username] and [Password] merge fields? I ask because we would like to use the [username] and [Password] fields to alert the customer of their Control Panel details (DotNetpanel) and the [RootUsername] and [RootPassword] to tell them what their Server Login Credentials are (for a Dedicated Server Order). When we use them in a merge field they both give the same answer which is the control panel username and password. Just thought I would check to see that this is not a bug before we implement the [ProductCustom-FieldName] option! Thanks Mark Donne HOST100
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 16, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 16, 2008 Both are the same fields. On a server product you have a root username and password, and on a shared hosting package you have a regular username and password. Neither package type can have both as they are stored in the same fields. Matt
