domain already in database - Reseller Club

Here's an interesting situation.

 

A domain was registered at Tucows. Nameservers are delegated to Reseller Club because the domain is using dns management.

 

Now, the customer wants to transfer the domain to Reseller Club.

 

The error is:

 

Domain Registration Error - The domain jeffpointhouse.com already exists in our database. This may occur if there is a pending Order for jeffpointhouse.com in our database under your account or any other account. You may search for this domain within your control panel.If you do not find this domain within your profile please contact our Support Department

 

NOW: It seems to me that this should be sufficiently rare that it probably isn't worth coding for it. (It seems like you ought to be able to add features to a domain already registered at Reseller Club, but that the situation where the domain is using Reseller Club dns management (or whatever) but the domain is not registered at Reseller Club would be a rather rare occurance.)

 

HOWEVER: I'm not sure how to fix it, get the domain transfered, and have WHMCS recognize it properly???

 

AN ADDITIONAL COMPLICATION: The dns management is in my "global" DirectI account, not in the customer's individual ResellerClub accout.

If I move the dns management into the customer's Reseller Club account from my global DirectI account and then do the transfer directly from within the customer's Reseller Club account, will WHMCS pick it up properly?
