hwijaya
As admin, I configure all my clients phone numbers to be IDD standard +65 xxxx xxxx Then..... when clients update their address on their own, the screen keep popping up message "# Your phone number is not valid #" Please let us know what's the proper format.... I am sure it should be able to accept + . - ( ) as nowadays everything is internationalized. Thanks.
chickendippers
There's no need to add the country code as they already specify their country. It also confuses the fraud modules if you do.
Austdata
+65 xxxx xxxx Doesn't the IDD require a 1 to 4 digit STD code between country code (65) and the area code (the first x)? So for your example it may be +65 NNNN xxxx xxxx where NNNN = 1 to 9999. My IDD phone number is 15 digits and I'm pretty sure that 15 is not the maximum. Chicken, I would have thought the IDD code would have been advantageous in fighting fraud. How come the modules want it stripped out? I must give it a try and see what happens...... chickendippers
I assume WHMCS adds the country code based on the country selected when it sends the phone number number to the fraud company. Eg. If a customer enters +44 xxxx xxxxxxx Varilogix will actually try to call +4444 xxxx xxxxxx
Austdata
Okay, that makes sense. Hope they remember to add all the countries though. Cheers, Mike
hwijaya
Roger then, I will leave it as just the number In Singapore case, there's NO STD code. Just Country Code and Phone Number, because there's only one state But for other countries... We can't put STD Code too apparently. Because it does not allow any punctuations. In OZ case. +61 3 12345678 CCode Std Phone it's odd if we just put 3 12345678 And if we put 03 12345678, will the 0 be automatically stripped? I have a feeling it should be just left as "freestyle".... how to turn off fraud module? I have a feeling the fraud module might be only applicable to the country of developer. So I guess there's no solution yet.
