Invoiced for addon when coupon used for 100% off the addon?

Trying to figure where I went wrong (or if there is a bug) for using coupons with addons when manually creating an order. Here is my scenario:

- I create a new order for a customer that does NOT send email and does NOT generate invoices.

- The product is $75/month. It has a One-time fee addon for $50 (total $125 first time, $75/month).

- I use a promotion code created for the addon to take 100% off the addon (now the first time is $75 and $75/month).

- I change the product due date to a future date when I want their product to start (so the system will generate the invoice and email at the appropriate time).

- The system generates the invoice for the product AND an invoice for the addon which was supposed to be free.

Now when I got to the Configure addons through the customers product I see that it has a start date and the billing cycle is still One-time.

Shouldn't the billing Cycle have been free if it was 100% off or the recurring / setup set to $0?

What should I have done to properly discount a one-time addon and not have an invoice automatically generated for it?
