Migrating from cPanel to DirectAdmin - Issues

Hi, i have decided that i wll be keeping my whmcs on a seperate VPS from my main server for clients, that way if the main server goes down, they can still contact us. The only problem is, the main server is cpanel and the VPS is DirectAdmin.

I am having a few issues and am really confused as to what steps i should take.

Can i just copy the folder (my.3rdrockhosting.com) from the main server to the root directory (3rdrockhosting.net) of the VPS? Would all of the files still work if they are in a different folder to what they are used to?

Now the main part, the database. How would i migrate that? I tried taking a dump from the old server and uploading to the new server but directadmin states i do not own the database and can not upload it.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this or could help me.

Help will be much apreciated
