ServWise.com
Can anyone confirm or deny that if a customer changes their details that the customer details on all previous invoices are also changed? I don't run WHMCS but I'm looking possibly running it in the future. I just had a quick look at the WHMCS DB and the invoice table does not contain a copy of the users data so I'm assuming it is pulled from the users current profile when ever an invoice is displayed. If so then this is a major problem, it is illegal (in most countries I believe) to change the customer details of an invoice after it has been issued, this could lead to customers removing or changing their tax or company details. I recently reported this same issue with AWBS (And provided a solution), they have said this will be fixed/changed in there next release.
Adam
Howdy, Yes WHMCS does copy from the current profile of the user and does not store a copy of user information per invoice. As for legal purposes, yes I do believe you are correct, but logically, after they pay for an invoice does it really matter who is on the invoice? Thanks, Adam
ihostgreen
Well if you need to show these invoices for tax reasons or the customer wants a copy from old orders for their own records... I think this is a must for most business would be a decent feature to have
