Psyclones
Firstly Hi Eeryone, Little bit cheeky been my first post and all that. But I have a problem which i am hoping you forum dwellers could help me with. I am currently using version 2.2 of WHMCS and would like to upgrade to the latest version. Unfortunately I cannot find out where to download the previous version up to 2.4 / 2.5 so that my upgrade path will no loose any data from my database. Any help on locating the previous version would be ace. Thanks in Advance. Psyclones

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 21, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 21, 2006 Asking for downloads of WHMCS V2.3, 2.4 and 2.4.1 is not considered to be an urgent issue. As I said in the ticket, I am currently sourcing copies of these from our backups. Matt
Psyclones
Thanks Matt, Hoping you source them soon, My ticket seems to of vansihed also, The link in the email i recieved when opening the ticket opens a blank page now. Hmm, Are WHMCS having issues. Asking for downloads of WHMCS V2.3, 2.4 and 2.4.1 is not considered to be an urgent issue. You would consider it to be urgent if it was your hosting company which is not able to take orders for hosting at present.
chrishaley
You would consider it to be urgent if it was your hosting company which is not able to take orders for hosting at present. I'm just curious, but did the version you are running just up and quit working? I would think it would continue to function even being an older version...

Please check your PM as I'm sending the download links via PM now. Matt

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 25, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 25, 2006 PM Sent. Btw, there shouldn't be any need to upload all the files from each version. If you just upload the dbconnect.php file and install folder then run the upgrade of each version it should work and save you quite a bit of time. Psyclones
2.3 upgrade went fine uploaded 2.4 on running upgrade.php I get, whmcs/install/upgrade.php is corrupted. Looking at these files it seems so have some encryption in them, ie. 4+oV58SpZY5mod8M6TWR0e2AIzWDWZ0lxcdKCuYiR/IfYuiTdCMUU3Epsuy3yhYDLaGLmELlzjR2 SWJuSDTFWQ2Gw2kzn6Gb4oviBV3qR5wc/+9oijbVlXixgRkww6DIS0XpflAarj3WzivayXOH58Fv H1xm+lYFFeDOUIS7YHe7zMl2OWlFf8FEaiobSCKlGAexIE70EPmcUTap54Sx78wnRDJBFRZPFadp gEIw9Hflihsxf/v+pnYCcxLdb915fVT66DbabAo4K/rcptLtyonYLilZLjQBjFbsqrFmVcLF66UO qRo/40LQocwfcTY80cS0XxPiO6DlM/9OwEGedC1X/qKSR1QmcpSnxG5vfR0jobM6DQf02L9uX7TX cWeYmo9Qv3fWyi2TtwFniSj0HSwfYhAJL8Qt7+GC3urqOozf3TLqQfAafsvOpdti5R0Oh50aEYGT ABlUU8T2ofx+0f4uklpc6GEl9G7m3mqZ+NdCZ4mZualStDVVHIkRm75IjYXaYrn2tSsHoIwyr0ls Km226v9Akiy5vlF7TFGsASZTIEO6fcfcsXSa9TQiRssMNcih5qefRwBFWJIgwpvGtSAD8JA/0Qxj Should that be there or are the files corrupted. Check the archive files and they have it also. Any advice would be cool. Thanks Psyclones
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 25, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 25, 2006 Yep, that is correct. All files are encoded with Ioncube. Have you tried redownloading the 2.4 zip file again to see if the corruption occured during in your download? Matt
Psyclones
downloaded it 3 times but will redownload it on another computer. will let you know the outcome. thanks again Psyclones
Dominic Quick
Try cleaning out the temp files and altering the download cache in your browser. By default in internet explorer its 50MB which includes Temp Internet Files. Raise it by going to the following if using Internet Explorer 7 1) Tools (This is next to page) 2) Internet Options 3) Under Browsing History click SETTINGS 4) Then alter the 50MB to 250MB which is within the recommended guidelines. 5) Completed. Hope this helps. Dom
Psyclones
tried the above and get exactly the same. Matt could you please check the archive for me as I have now tried the 2.4 archive on 3 seperate machines with the same problem. whmcs/install/upgrade.php is corrupted. Thanks in advance Psyclones
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 25, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 25, 2006 Hi, Just reuploaded the zip file. Have tested it before I uploaded so it is working before I upload. If you try it now and still have problems then I will provide the file without the zip file. Matt
Psyclones
This is really getting on me nerves now, downloaded new arc, deleted everything from server apart from mysql and reuploaded arc contents, edited the config file with my license and connection details the went to run upgrade.php and guess what The file /home/allinhostin/public_html/whmcs/install/upgrade.php is corrupted. I am stuck now, Could it be ioncube or something else, cleared cache also. Anymore thoughts anyone. THanks Psyclones
