newbie
Hello there, I just noticed something weird. If I change prices of hosting packages (didn't try domain names) and then go to an older customer then I see that the Recurring Amount stays the same.
chickendippers
Yes, that is the correct behaviour: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=8694
newbie
Yes, that is the correct behaviour: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=8694 Why is it correct? If you higher or lower your prices it should be for all customers.
Iceman
What about clients with special deals/offers? They would have their prices increased as well, and wouldn't be happy at all. It must work the way it does otherwise there would be lot of grumpy customers. Cheers, Paul
chickendippers
You might also put your prices up

Cheers, Paul Well if you have a few thousand customers, you want to make an exception not having to change true a sql query which changes all. It should be the other way around, change all, unless special deal offer... So when someone uses one-time discount his recurring amount will change, someone with unlimited discount doesn't change. This can not be done with a SQL query that easy.
chickendippers
I disagree, IMO the current setup is vastly superior. Otherwise you end up with some highly complicated price locking system like Modernbill
Iceman
Newbie, besides, how do I know which specific clients pay what amount? If things worked the way you are suggesting we would have to MANUALLY go through every client and make a note of what they are specifically paying for the product that we simply wished to change the Retail price for. After the price change is done, we would then need to go back and MANUALLY change the prices BACK to what they should be for each client with custom prices. Also what about clients that have a permanent discount? We would have to go back and edit all their prices everytime we changed a hosting plan's retail price. No thank you!
