jennann
As a service to my clients and as an additional stream of income I offer hosting. As a result I don't get much time to really delve into the WHMCS as it is not always my primary business focus. I have a hosting client who has exceeded her bandwidth. Can anyone give me a step by step as to how to remedy this? She is willing to pay for the additional bandwidth. But I am unsure how to make it happen for her. I see through reading some of the posts on the forum that there is not currently an automatic solution. That is fine, I just don't have a clue how to proceed. I have created a Product Addon for the additional bandwidth, have attached it to her hosting account, but am unclear as to what to do next - if this was even the way to go to begin with. HELP! I am a bit desperate here Thanks in advance!
jennann
PS I have gone in and upgraded her to the next hosting account, just so I can get her site back up and there is no change. It still shows she has the overage of bandwidth both through the WHMCS and when I type in her domain name. What do I do with this? WHMCS CEO Matt Posted May 25, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted May 25, 2008 You would add the addon to the user like you have done. Then you would adjust the allowance of disk space for the user inside WHM itself manually. And then on the next cron run, the stats of disk space used/available will update inside WHMCS (won't be instant). Matt
chickendippers
If you need urgent help I would recommend creating a ticket rather than wait for community help. You could create an extra bandwidth addon, but you'd need to modify the bandwidth limit on the server manually. Upgrades through the admin area don't create invoices for the upgrade, so you're providing your client with a higher package at no extra cost. The best way is to have the client upgrade themselves, that will generate all the correct invoices. The usage stats in WHMCS are only updated when you run the cron. EDIT: Beaten to it!
