mns
I want to create separate user accounts for domain name every time a NEW client registers a domain. But WHMCS puts all the domains in one account. What to do?
netearth
Currently this can only be accomplished with our Module. Because there is no SYNC for email addresses, we are writing a seperate c app to compelte this which will only be available to NetEarth One resellers. Kind regards, Chris
chickendippers
You want to give your customers another set of login details to remember? I appreciate not all the features available through the DirectI control panel are available in the WHMCS module, but the WHMCS interface is much nicer!
mns
You want to give your customers another set of login details to remember? I appreciate not all the features available through the DirectI control panel are available in the WHMCS module, but the WHMCS interface is much nicer! It is not only about interface. It is more about convenience. Even currently I feel there are too many domain names in my main a/c. This a/c has domains of those customers who are not able to manage (willingness or ability) their domains on their own. If all the domains of all the customers are clubbed into one account, I feel it will be a royal mess Additionally, there are some customers who DEMAND a separate domain management a/c and interface. Then I will have to shift their domains out of WHMCS and again get back to manual billing. This one feature/problem and lack of multi-currency are the two major drawbacks of WHMCS
ur
mns, this has been requested in the past in a few posts. I agree, that this can be a major drawback when clients need to access the other features of Directi's API ... Until WHMCS supports those, it's going to involve some headaches. In the meantime, you could turn to netearthone and I can also tell you that RoverNIC is also developing an module for WHMCS which will allow customers to have their own accounts at directi. Perhaps open a feature request? I am sure there are plenty who want this.

ur
>>It isn't just a headache, its a pain in the rear Oh now ... that's a bit harsh no? How many customers actually require the full set of directi tools?

How many customers actually require the full set of directi tools? Quite a few! We have plenty of clients registering only domain names with us for the full control/tools they get. We have to either tell them to get lost or Whatever it is, this feature is pretty important for us. As simple as that!
lynnette
I don't know what I am missing here, but what other controls/tools do customers get through the directI login itself, compared to the WHMCS interface. This is a genuine question, as I want to know if I am missing something I could be offering customers.
