UNIXIELHOST
Hi, I have a question to make sure. Do I have to create each POP3 accounts for like (i.e.: sales, support, etc) then WHMCS will pick it up if a email is sent or do I have to setup somehow? I don't want to bother checking POP3's, instead I want to use the WHMCS ticket system and it's easier for me. Thank you.
bitwise
I am pretty sure you can just set up a forwarder email address with the piping. However, I would suggest to also have that email forwarded to another account in case something goes wrong with piping or WHMCS (ex: upgrade gets messed up...happened to me) I have sales and support as POP3 accounts but also have them set up as forwarders with piping.

Yes, you would need to either create each email address & password, or email pipe / forwarder that you want to use. The nice thing is that you can tell WHMCS to download the email from the POP3 server, so you don't need to check them yourself
generic
i use forwards (NOT POP3) for 3 out of 4 of my support accounts.
Nick
Yes, you would need to either create each email address & password, or email pipe / forwarder that you want to use. Incorrect. You only need one mail account setup which all your ticket emails enter. So long as the To: header is preserved then WHMCS will put them in the appropriate department.

Oh, so do you only create 1 POP3 account, and then add forwarders for the rest?

bitwise
when you set up the piping did you copy and paste the code from whmcs? I seem to remember when I did there was an extra space at the begining once I deleted that the piping worked.

Nick
I checked, it has the weird ioncube codes stuff thats all Do you mean PHP error messages, or are you just opening the file rather than having PHP execute it?
UNIXIELHOST
Be hontest I think its better for someone to check it for me, but do I trust people out there?
JasonO
Trust nobody to be honest, as you never know. You could open a Support Ticket and see if any WHMCS staff can have a look at it.
