Plesk Login

SoBeIt

Question

I notice the client area requests an email address to login, rather than a username, how is this handled by Plesk? Logging in to Plesk using an email address will only log you in as a mailbox user rather than a client.

I believe my clients would be able to login to WHMCS using their Plesk login credentials (correct me if I'm wrong), but do not understand how they can do this if WHMCS is requesting an email address rather than a username :?

So the WHMCS login/pass is separate from the control panel login/pass? Is the user asked to fill out two separate usernames and passwords when signing up for services? If WHMCS keeps a record of the Plesk login credentials, are they kept in sync somehow with the Plesk servers? Why does WHMCS keep a record of this info?

Thanks,

Greg

I know cPanel has a login button in the client area on their service page - Plesk may do the same, but I don't use it i'm afraid so cannot confirm.

Using the saved credentials the user can simply click the login button and be logged in automaticly into cPanel.
