nptech
WHMCS 3.6.0 When a customer has a product that is billable monthly but they do not pay the auto-generated invoice by the due date, WHMCS does not appear to generate the subsequent month's invoice until after the outstanding invoice has been paid. That is, the product's "Next Due Date" field does not appear to get updated to the subsequent month's due date until after the outstanding invoice is paid. Shouldn't recurring invoices be auto-generated regardless of whether or not the invoice has been paid? This way you could more accurately track cumulative accounts receivable. Is this behaviour by design? Is there a way to change this so that monthly billed products are billed monthly on the same date regardless of whether or not the outstanding invoice has been paid? WHMCS CEO Matt Posted April 27, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted April 27, 2008 This is what the Continuous Invoice Generation feature is for. When enabled in General Settings, WHMCS will generate invoices even if the previous invoice for an item remains unpaid. If disabled, it will not. nptech
Matt: Thanks. I had trouble finding this information in old documentation - but I now see it is very clearly explained in the greatly improved new documentation. Thanks!
