WHMCS CEO Matt Posted March 13, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted March 13, 2008 Getting this error means you've done something wrong in Config > Domain Registrars. Make sure you've followed our guide for configuring it correctly: http://wiki.whmcs.com/DirectI Matt
webworks
I have read and reread the http://wiki.whmcs.com/DirectI but I think the confusion lies in entering the username and password for the directi registrar setting. Do we have to enter the login details of the customer whose ID we are entering or do we have to enter the reseller login details under whom the customer account is... This part is confusing.
chickendippers
The ParentID is basically the ID of your reseller account, found in Settings > Personal Information > Primary Profile of your DirectI reseller control panel. The CustomerID is the ID of the customer you have created, found in Customers > List of your DirectI reseller control panel.
Ala7lam
Actully Parent ID is NOT the Reseller ID, it's just below it. Had the same issue but then i used the correct Parent ID and its working! Regards

chickendippers
Which version of WHMCS are you running? The Resellerclub module was only implemented in 3.6.2.
brianoz
The error mentioned by the OP usually indicates a wrong username or password.
huckyboy
i'm encountering the same problem also, but this time on NetEarthOne, a Reseller Club or DirectI reseller i think. before 3.6.2, where i have to put in a Parent ID and a Customer ID in the module, everything works fine. But on 3.6.2 i only have to put in the Parent ID. I double checked everything and i even had someone from NetEarthOne check my settings and everything is ok, except for the error as posted by the OP.
huckyboy
Everything is sorted out for me now. What happened was my domain reseller password contains characters other than 0-9 a-z A-Z.
vincent1
Everything is sorted out for me now. What happened was my domain reseller password contains characters other than 0-9 a-z A-Z. Hi, is this still an issue, as I am getting the same error and my password includes a '!' in it Thanks, - Vincent
