chickendippers
Report them to PayPal? That'll at least get their PayPal account shut down.

Jordan
I've had this problem over 5 times, but after sending a cease and desist letter they usually take it down. I still keep them bookmarked to check back regularly to make sure that they just haven't waited until I "forgot" about it to put it back up. Good luck with getting them to remove all of it!
pacwebhosting
Hi, Been dealing with the site owner and he has agreed to remove it within 24 hours I will keep you posted Paul
Serenade
Did he say why he stole it in the first place??? I would take legal actions if it were me.
MACscr
Did he say why he stole it in the first place??? I would take legal actions if it were me. LOL, with a bunch of indians? I dont see how that would work out well out at all. Unless they are stealing 10's of thousands of revenue, its just not worth it.
HostOrca
Did he say why he stole it in the first place??? I would take legal actions if it were me. Taking legal action would be very dificult and costly. Take action in the UK courts would they take any notice as they are in India, and I doubt the courts would issue a extradiction proceeding for them. Travel to India and persue them in the Indian courts would be expensive. All you can hope for is that he does as he has agreed to
mylove4life
I'm going to try this http://www.html-protector.com/ and see if it will work. I'm going to play with the WHMCS too, see if I can incode that as well.
Jordan
If it can be encoded, it can always be decoded. You're just wasting your money in all honesty. Trust me, it sucks to have your work stolen, but you're going to have to accept it happens. Just keep in contact with the person who stole it and try to come to a resolution.
pacwebhosting
Hi, They agreed to take it down and have done so - the site at least has been changed design and gfx wise - the copied text/content I can cope with. I fully concur with you guys it would have been difficult to get them to comply with being in India but if I would have had to they host in the USA so would have been a bit easier with copyright breaches etc hopefully to have taken them down if need be. Thanks Paul

Thanks Paul Glad they took it down, but I am sure they were walking a fine line with using a US based host that would have probably took them down with a well written report. I just wonder if there switched design might also be stolen? If they did it once....

Jordan
have you or anyone decoded it... And you actually think I'd admit to something like that? Regardless, like I said, if it can be encoded, it can be decoded. If you want to waste your money on something as ridiculous as that, then be my guest, it's not my money. But don't come back here to rant about how your precious design was stolen.
Rob T
Just remember - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery... I've always known that my sites were really well designed when people liked them enough to rip them. I still got the copied sites taken down, but it was kind of an ego boost to get ripped in the first place.

JasonO
I've never understood how encoding the page works either. If your browser can read the page, then it must be decodeable?
