Subdomain hosting

Hello,

We would like to be able to offer customers subdomain hosting, not the free subdomain hosting that you can configure in WHMCS admin.

Basically we have customers who already have their domain and website hosting elsewhere but purchase further hosting space with us but still want to use their domain e.g. main site = http://www.domain.com elsewhere, subdomain with us as downloads.domain.com etc etc

At the moment we have to do this manually for a customer.

Is their anyway to add this to the cart process to have an extra option at the domain registration stage e.g :

- I want to register a new domain.

- I want to transfer my domain

- I will update my nameservers on an existing domain Or I will register a new domain.

- I want a subdomain for an existing domain and I will update DNS

Cheers

I don't think WHMCS can do this as that requires modifying DNS Zones and such.

That's not the case. The control panel will handle the DNS zones. Currently we manually create an order in WHMCS then modify the domain to be subdomain.domain.com and then click 'Create' account which generates the hosting account (as subdomain.domain.com) in our control panel. We then tell the customer to use a A record or CNAME in their DNS to point to our servers.

Now we want to automate that :-)
