Strange admin password issue

I am only 95% sure of this but post it anyway to see whether somebody else experienced the same problem or not.

 

I additionally secured HWMCS admin with secured folder and have a very strong admin password too.

 

Windows remember the two passwords to access WHMCS admin while I also have it stored in password depot program on my computer.

 

Today when I want to login the system ask for the admin password and since it happens from time to time when the cookies was deleted I entered username and windows then fill in the admin password.

 

Strange thing is that this windows remembered password as well as the password that I have on file was incorrect and I had to use the resent new password feature to get access.

 

Immediately changed the password but I wonder WHY the original password was incorrect??

 

Both the server and my computer are, or are supposed to, protected properly. I did NOT changed the password and also did NOT changed anything within WHMCS or database.
