Redirect to gateway problem.

We would like to auto redirect to the payment gateway when a client has placed an order as generally payments are processed by Credit/Debit Card however we also have the need to allow clients to select Cheque or BACS payment options.

 

I've been doing some testing with 3.6 ready to upgrade and noticed that if you select to pay by for example the Mail in Payment when you try to complete the order it still shows the trying to redirect to your chosen payment gateway message and then the details for paying by cheque on the redirect page.

 

Should this not just take you to the order completed screen in this instance and show the details for paying by cheque as there is no gateway to redirect too?

 

Same applies to the bank transfer method.

Have been considering a workaround for this and believe that what we could do is just add a form into the forwardpage.tpl template file below where the gateway code is displayed and therefore if the gateway module does not contain a form, it would redirect this form and that the link would just be to the invoice. Will add this in 3.6.1.
