netmotiv8
Hi We have just registered a domain via WHMCS through for a .tv domain. Everything is registered ok however, when you do a whois lookup it still says the domain is available? Is this to do with the .tv registry not allowing lookups or something, or do lookups have to be done a certain way other whois.nic.tv ? As it stands customers can place an order for any .tv domain because the lookup would always result in the domain being 'available'
RPS
Are you looking this up through WHMCS or through the registrar of the domain?
netmotiv8
Through WHMCS the domain will show as still available, when you go to the registrar for .tv it will say not available
RPS
Sounds like the whois server for the .tv domain isn't configured properly... Open whmcs/includes/whoisservers.php Go to line 352 and look for: .tv|whois.nic.tv|No match for Change that line to: .tv|whois.nic.tv|No match So you want to remove the " for " Save and upload the file. If that doesn't work, try the same thing, except you don't want to have a space at the end of "for " So you want to change: ".tv|whois.nic.tv|No match for " to ".tv|whois.nic.tv|No match for" Dunno if that makes a difference, but that's another thing I would try.

RPS
Which part was the solution? ".tv|whois.nic.tv|No match for" or ".tv|whois.nic.tv|No match"
