Long select (drop-down) fields

We are planning to import thousands of our existing customers into WHMCS. On some admin area pages, like in Add Orders for Client, there is a <select> field which contains *all* clients (by name).

 

1. Can WHMCS perhaps add " (ID)" too in the display? To differentiate clients having the same name.

 

2. Will thousands of clients loaded into that select box be slow/a problem? Can WHMCS provide another interface, like a normal input field when the number of customers is very large?
