stephboreldesign
I currently resell with hostnine and they use Resellercentral. When I use the [serverip] merge field in emails, it comes up blank. I just upgraded to the new whmcs which i thought would fix the problem, but it wasn't. Is there a trick to this? I need my clients to know what their IP is because most of the time their domain name isn't propogated instantly.
ask21900
I am currently working with h9 to get the reseller central api to return the node that the account was created on. Once it returns the node I can modify whmcs to store that node. And thus call the node within the account setup email. dstemper
Matt fixed this for me. Hostnine will say it is a problem with Whmcs, it took them days of back and forth.

Phile
I put in a ticket and went through several replies but pretty much i was told to make a custum email temp..I tried but can't get it to work. I just get blank spots where the IP, Server Location, Server name should be in the clients welcome email. Also can't get anything useful to be returned in the client account welcome email for selling windows from H9 through WHMCS. Hope you (or someone) can help soon. Phile
what i had to do to get it working for H9 Linix servers was to 1. I copied the hosting account welcome email template from admin>configuration>email templates then created a NEW template and pasted the copy into it 2. Then i changed any instances of {$service_server_ip} to {$service_custom_field_ipaddress} then highlighted the lines with {$service_custom_field_ipaddress} and clicked the Insert/edit link button and made sure the link was pointing to {$service_custom_field_ipaddress} instead of {$service_server_ip} then saved the template as a new welcome email 3. For each package i created a custom field named "IP Address" (without the quotes)(field type text box NO checks in required field OR show on order form) 4. Then i assigned the new welcome email to each package to be set up using reseller central. Works for me I still haven't got the windows email to work yet but Matt is looking into that.
