zilli
Hi.. I would like to know what difference is Maxmind from Varilogix ? Which one can be the best choice ? And why ? Thanks.
chickendippers
Maxmind is primarily a fraud scoring system; i.e. it takes the attributes of the order and tells you if it's likely to be fraud or not. There is an optional phone verification addon that can ring high-risk customers to verify their identity. Varilogix Fraudcall is just a phone verification setup that rings all customers. IMO Varilogix is vastly superior to the Maxmind addon (as the automated phone message speaks your company name and tells your customer the order details), plus the control panel is in a league of its own!
jas
Maxmind is cheaper though and as has already been said, it can offer the telephone call too.
chickendippers
My favorite feature of Varilogix that seems to be missing in Maxmind is the ability to automatically whitelist a customer once they've passed the fraudcall - so if they order again they don't need to do the call again.
Sohan
I've started ringing customers myself. I personally prefer this, as I get the chance to upsell and get to know my customer at the same time.
chickendippers
If you're available 24/7 I guess that's OK. My customers always seem to sign up if I'm away from my computer for an hour
Sohan
If you're available 24/7 I guess that's OK. My customers always seem to sign up if I'm away from my computer for an hour Use maxmind to get it all out of the way, automated. When you come back, ring then. If you sense that anything is wrong, suspend, investigate then take action.

The phone call could be expensive
