Gav
I can't seem to get the 'Close Inactive Tickets' option to work. I've set it to 48 (hours) but all tickets remain open until manually closed. I thought that this option would close all tickets that have not been replied to in 48 hours, is this not what that is for?
chickendippers
It closes all tickets that have not been replied to for more than 48 hours when the cron is run. So it is possible for tickets to be open longer than 48 hours as the cron only runs once a day.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 12, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 12, 2008 And just to add to that - tickets set to On Hold or In Progress won't be closed. Matt
Gav
Nope, I have tickets 7 days old that are set to Answered. The cron is working at 9am every day and I've even tried running it manually and tickets are not closed.
PPH
What is your setting in Support Ticket Settings Close Inactive Tickets Time (in hours) of inactivity after which ticket is closed (Set to 0 to disable) under automation settings?
Gav
I just put "48" without quotes, I assumed that's all it needed. Do I need to specify hours or something? I'm not sure what's going on here, I'll upgrade to the latest version soon and see if that fixes it.
PPH
If you had 48 and it didn't close after 48 with the cron run, ticket support and let Matt take a peak. You can also check for properly closed tables in the db.
