How to Hide Support Agent Last Names in Tickets (Client Area)

Hi there,

We’re currently using the latest version of WHMCS along with the Lagom 2 client theme. For privacy reasons, we’d like to hide support agents’ last names in client-facing areas such as support tickets, so that only their first name is displayed.

We’ve looked through the documentation but couldn’t find a clear way to do this. Ideally, we’d like a method that allows us to either:

  • Automatically strip or hide last names for all staff replies.

  • Replace the full name with a custom display name or just the first name.

Has anyone done this successfully, or is there a recommended way to approach it?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

To hide support agents' last names in tickets displayed in the WHMCS client area, you can customize the ticket view template. This can be done by editing the client_ticket_view template file from the WHMCS admin panel.
