Rich Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 First off, how is the WHMCS affiliate account? Does it track it accurately enough and detect fraud? Second, how do I get it to display a $ amount rather then a percentage on the affiliate page "Earn % of every payment each customer you refer to us makes for the entire duration of their hosting account" IE: Earn $50.00 for each customer you refer to us on new hosting account sign ups. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tech Entrance Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 You can set details of the affiliate program in the general configuration page > affiliates tab to be fixed amount or percentage and even delay payouts to avoid chargebacks. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rich Posted February 3, 2008 Author Share Posted February 3, 2008 You can do that for under each configurable hosting product, but not under the general configuration.. unless your seeing something different from me. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tech Entrance Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 Yes I do see it different Open "General Configuration" and see those tabs inside it - the 2nd one from the right called "Affiliates" General Localisation Ordering Domains Mail Support Invoices Credit Affiliates Other Set global rules there. the system will work on those rules by default unless you have per product rules set. You can then customize rules per product in product config page if you wish. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rich Posted February 3, 2008 Author Share Posted February 3, 2008 This is the screen thats showing for me. There is only an option to set the percentage, bonus deposit, minimum payout amount, and the payment delay. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jordan Posted February 3, 2008 Share Posted February 3, 2008 You can customize affiliate earnings PER product/service. That's just the generic affiliate you've got set, which would be the default if you didn't customize it per product/service. It's more of a failover setting. Otherwise, just go to edit your product/service, and click to the affiliate tab. You'll have extra options there. See attachment. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rich Posted February 3, 2008 Author Share Posted February 3, 2008 Sorry, I didn't really word the original post clear enough I guess. I understand how to do all of that, but on the affiliate page itself for those who aren't already signed up for it, it still won't display the dollar value for me. Instead of saying "Earn $XX per referral" it says "Earn % of each payment.." it just makes it kind of confusing when it's offering something completely different from what my offer on the website says. Is there a way to implement this naturally, or am I going to have to edit the language files? 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jordan Posted February 4, 2008 Share Posted February 4, 2008 Ah okay, I get what you're saying now. But have you bothered to look at the template for affiliatessignup.tpl? It's not really a lang file that controls the entirety of the list. The following is the list item that executes the "Earn %..." statement.
{$LANG.affiliatesearn} {$payoutpercentage} {$LANG.affiliatesbullet2}
You can easily just exchange the {$payoutpercentage} and put in $XX. I'm not sure if there's a {$payoutfixedamount} or even anything to represent fixed. Perhaps send in a ticket to Matt to clarify (or maybe he'll happen to skim across the thread.) 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
