Boston
Hi, I'm trying to understand the way the automatic invoice system works(it always helps me to understand the software better when I understand the basics). I tried to search but I couldn't find a proper thread, please throw me a link if there is a thread of this already. We've set the WHMCS to create an invoice automaticly 14 days before the webhosting account expires. As far as I know the invoice is created only when the cronjob is ran, in the same time the email is sent to the customer. How does the software know not to send another email/create another invoice if the cronjob is ran for example twice in a day? If I add an account that is expiring in, lets say, 5 days and run the cronjob, will WHMCS still create an invoice and send the email or does the WHMCS understand the create the invoice and send the email only if the expiring day is 14 days away? If I delete the automaticly created invoice, can I recreate the invoice automaticly from somewhere or do I just create it manually?
chickendippers
There's no need to run the cronjob more than once a day though.
railto
recurring invoices are created via the cron, and as it states in the automation settings in whmcs, you only need to run it once a day, personally we run it at 7pm, mainly because i know ill be at a computer then and its out of normal hours for most companies.
