I'm just trying to get a feel for how many people would like the option to add different pricing for 'configurable options'.

Example. Say you want to offer a discount for different billing cycles such as.

3 month = 5%

6 month = 10%

12 month = 15%

etc.

Currently the configurable options doesn't offer this but I find that it is very much needed for certain services. Who else would like to see this ability?

I've attached a rough image that I created to show you what I am referring to and what it could potentially look like.

Personally i think the whole promotions system needs more flexibility.

There has been a number of times now that i have come to create a promotion and found that i have been limited by certain factors. For example you can't apply a promotion to an addon that is attached to a specific product- It will make it so it can be applied to any product addon (if that makes sense).

Just a suggestion. Promotions help us out a lot with sales and more flexibility with it would be great!

I know whmcs is partial to webhosting but not having the ability to offer a full 5/10/15% discount based on billing-cycle is a major let down. I've thought about using a promotion per billing-cycle to apply the discount but the problem there is that the promotion gets applied to the entire order.

Some services we offer a higher discount when renting another. Example: Rent a game server get 50% off webhosting or something along those lines.

MB4 has this ability

CE has this ability

I use MB4 now but it lacks many other features that I like about WHMCS. I reviewed CE and it has this ability but again it's missing some features that I like about WHMCS. WHMCS is the software we want to use but we are stopped because of the lack of order form flexibility.

If anyone has any better ideas or ways around this problem please share.

Having just had a nightmare fighting with trying to get Modernbill to do what we want over the last few weeks, it was actually great that I found this flaw with WHM, it let reminded me I wasn't dreaming!!

However, it is something that I would certainly like to see implemented.

How are you folks overcoming not having this function?

Obviously there is manually altering the product price for each of the cycles, however this would have no effect on the configurable options, which the discount would also need to apply to......

It would be nice to hear other views on how to tackle this
