Brandonm
I want every customer that signs up to be an affiliate automatically. What do I need to do?
urevised
You could create a checkoutscript.php and have it automatically insert a row into the affiliates table? but i guess if you don't have much knowledge of php / mysql then your stuck. Maybe you should request it be put in the next version because i know i would find that useful as well. Hope this helps.

Brandonm
I noticed when I ordered the 'trial' from here - I immediately logged in to the client area for the whmcs site and saw my affiliate link. It appeared to me that it was automatically enabled.
urevised
Maybe Matt has coded a checkoutscript.php for it then. I guess it would make sense that we are automatically affiliates with WHMCS because we can then sell their products on etc... So it would be a great idea for hosting companies as well.
Tech Entrance
If the client is already interested in the affiliate program he will open the affiliates page in the client area and thus activate himself as affiliate. it's automated right there. I mean you don't have to accept a request from client to be affiliate.
TheHostingHeroes
i think there also should be an option to auto enable affiliate.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 5, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 5, 2008 Why? It's a one button click for the customer to activate themselves as an affiliate. If they plan to be one, they would click it. Matt

Matt my point exactly, also, if a customer doesnt want to be an affiliate and get sent the affiliates email each month it would get irratating, you know how customers can be
wcdc
I wouldn’t want any of my affiliates to receive an email of their progress, your either selling or not. Most of my referrals will be word of mouth, possibly local brick, and mortar establishments. I would like to ability to generate this affiliate link for various uses.
