knowledgebase categories on the homepage

Hello,

So i want is to display a list of the knowledgebase categories on the homepage.tpl page with the corresponding path for each category, the same as the one in the sidebar on knowlagebase.

How can i do this? 

I tried with hooks but many i just not figured it out correctly.
