Offer Free Trial. Client automatically charged at end of Trial

Recommended Posts

I would like to offer a one month Free Trial on both my Monthly and Annual hosting plans, and have the client's card automatically charged at the end of the trial. How can this be done?

The only option I can see at present, allows a Free Trial to be set up, but terminates the Trial after X amount of days. It doesn't automatically charge the client's bank card at the end of the trial.

Hi everyone,

There are two methods by which you can do this.

  1. by updating the due date using the hook "InvoiceCreation". you can add 15 days, 30 days, or as you want. means the user can pay it within 30 days.
  2.  create a coupon code with Type=Price Override and certain conditions as you want to apply but this option is better only for those products which are monthly basis.
Note: if you want this also for annual products then you need to create a hook same as option 1 to change the next due date of products to 30 days. In that case first time the due date is after 30 days then there invoice is generated and after pay invoice the next due date is as per your product recurring duration.
