Assigning a fix percentage discount for different billing period

Hi,

 

Been looking all over. How do I assign a fix percentage discount for a particular billing period for the same product?

 

For example, when my user choose quarterly billing, it will automatically insert a 5% discount off the total price, including the addons and the configurable options.

 

Is there any way or workaround that I can achieve it?

 

PS: Currently, I create a game server product for every billing period that i support, hardly elegant and very tedious to update.

it is doable, but will need to be a discount code given to the user, and you can just create a new one for each period, and only valid on that period, something like pro1disc10 would allow 10 percent on yearly only while prod1disc5 would allow 5 percent on monthly billing

But the thing is i would want that as a permanent feature, in case my customers forgets. Also I would want to have other promos and discounts too.

 

So is coupons the only way?

if you are wanting the order/invoice to show the full ammount minus a discount and have it itemised, then afaik yes

You can try to by default put the price with that 5% discounted. But it can affect to other promos...

We were doing this, using a discount code (displayed in product description) not elegant, and quite cumbersome....

 

Now within 3.61 you can adjust the individual price of each billing period, but this doesn't give the effect of having the amount discounted on the invoice Im afraid......

 

So it's swings and roundabouts
