UH-Matt
Hello All, We're just playing with WHMCS right now and loving it a lot. However we have a dilemma: Should we continue to use kayako or switch over to using the whmcs included helpdesk? We dont use any of the extra features that kayako provides, but we are concerned about losing all the ticket history we have built up for our clients over the years in our current kayako system. Also we have a HUGE number of tickets, and maybe grow by 150-200 tickets per day, can the whmcs helpdesk take this type of abuse? Kayako has proved it can but im concerned the whmcs one might fall over on us? Are there any other large hosts using the whmcs helpdesk? Is there a way to import all the tickets from kayako to the whmcs one, and it will then show all the old tickets for a client from kayako in the whmcs helpdesk? Looking for your thoughts and views as to what you would do if you were us? Thanks!
Tech Entrance
I think the kayako module which is in WHMCS 3.5 can share logins between both so you can continue using Kayako and WHMCS combined. I don't think you will be able to import tickets from kayako to WHMCs though.
LP-Hosting
I would combined them togather using the module it would be fantastic to have two excellent systems togather. I wouldn't give up Kayako but WHMCS does the same job I guess but Kayako is a little more useful for support in ways.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 12, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 12, 2008 The WHMCS desk can cope with a large amount of tickets. We use it here with around 200-250 new tickets per day. With a total now of over 30,000 tickets and 150,000 replies, it's no slower than originally. Personally, I don't see any reason to use Kayako over the built in WHMCS functions but some users find the SLA and Escalation features very useful in it. As for importing, not much demand for that but if you're ready to pay something for it, we can create you one! Matt
UH-Matt
Have you done the import before? Im happy to pay for it to be done, just want to be sure we arent going to hit any "gotcha's"
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 13, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 13, 2008 No, you'd be paying for the script to be written! Matt
rodeoXtreme
Hi Matt, We have been with WHMCS since the inception of our company. WHMCS has and is a very user-friendly interface that allows all of our Admins to simply perform actions; then in June 2007 we were forced to begin using Kayako for our Support system; due to the fact that we outsource our Support; if we had the choice we would be using WHMCS support exclusively but I don't see this happening. Matt and his team have been COMPLETELY responsive to ALL of our support tickets; that we decided to move our domain registration to WHMCS; the price DOES NOT out weigh the support, trust and confidence that we have with WHMCS. Sometimes, I think many of us look for the lowest price - which we get what we pay for. GREAT JOB Matt!
