mrbrodie94
Hey all - hoping someone can help me work this through. This is a 2 part problem. Part 1: Domain registration - The other day I placed a domain name order as a customer to ensure everything worked per spec. From the customer end all good. In WHMCS - the system didn't setup the domain automatically despite receiving payment. No doubt there is a setting to fix that, not a huge issue. What I took huge issue with, was when I was completing the order as a customer - I didn't complete the registration ID number necessary for .com.au domains. This flagged that issue on the admin side - but gave me zero options to enter the correct number, or return the order to the customer to fix. It seems the only way to resolve this was to cancel the order, place a credit on the account and go for round two? Surely this cannot be correct, we are in 2022?? There must be a way to edit an order already placed when a customer inputs an error. Part 2: Today - I decided to add web hosting to my domain. Customer end worked flawlessly - came through to the admin side and again, the order is sitting there waiting for approval. Damn sure I selected to auto provision services after payment is received. Much to my frustration, I am now getting a DNS error. Specifically: Order Accept Encountered ProblemsHosting Purchase Service Failed - Error creating account on SYN08AE.SYD6: (XID r43k5e) A DNS entry for “easytown.com.au” already exists. You must remove this DNS entry from this server or all servers in the DNS cluster to proceed.. Error code: ERR_HOSTINGPURCHASESERVICE_FAILED What now? Does this now mean that literally any customer who orders a domain - and then web hosting separately is going to break the system and throw it into a wobble? This is perplexing. For reference too - I use SynergyWholesale for domains and web hosting. It isn't traditional web hosting where I rent out server space ahead of time. I buy space each time a client makes an order. So I'm at a loss of how to edit something on a server side that frankly I don't have access to - and seriously, what a weird error? Folks - how can I resolve this? Cheers!
mrbrodie94
UPDATE: Just checked on SynergyWholesale end - the service was activated following the request from WHMCS, yet in WHMCS I still sits there asking me to accept the order, and giving the same error each time. What now?
