Product Details TPL page - Show how many invoices paid for that product

I'm really hoping someone can help, it's very complicated for me but probably so simple for you!

I'm using this php smarty tag on my clientareaproductdetails.tpl page:

{$clientsstats.numpaidinvoices}

But I want it to show how many 'paid' invoices the client has for 'that product only'. - So ever since they purchased their hosting it shows how many times they've paid. Is there an easy way using smarty php for this?

I don't have any good skills doing SQL queries etc.
