Terra
Okay - potentially stupid question, but before I unleash WHM onto my real customers, I'm trying to find out as much as I can how it works. Scenario: I have an integrated payment gateway (SecPay - similar to Protx etc). Questions: 1) Will customers with registered debit/credit cards automatically be debited by the system, i.e. is this handled by the same cron job as the invoice emails? 2) Will customers be notified in advance that this is going to happen, i.e. is there a note on invoices for debit/credit card payers that their account will be debited? Any guidance from users of WHM with live systems much appreciated! You probably know how paranoid customers can be about automated payments. Many thanks, Edith
chickendippers
Well assuming that you send an email out when the invoice is generated, you can inform customers that their card will automatically be debited on the due date.
Terra
HI chickendippers - many thanks for the reply! I've now found the email templates for the credit card invoices, so that's great. And I guess once the cron job is active, then that will handle the debiting automatically via may SecPay account. Sorry for the newbie questions - anything with cron jobs & a few hundred customers tends to make me nervous
