Managing and tracking my own services.

Hello everyone!

Was wondering what best practice or what everybody else is doing in tracking and managing your own domains and services through WHMCS?  I'm thinking of creating a customer account for myself and adding my domains and services that I'm using for my website, whmcs, etc, and overriding the cost to be what I pay.  Then I'm thinking of invoicing the services and leaving the invoices open, so I can track it as an unreimbursed expense and it would show as a negative in my income/expense reporting in WHMCS.

The only caveats I can really think of is that I would need the "Continues Invoice Generation" option enabled as well as have my domains be set to autorenew at the registrar level since WHMCS would never renew the domain since the invoice is never paid.  For any external hosting/vps I have I could always override the termination date to be something like 12/30/2050 I suppose.

Anybody care to share how they're tracking their own stuff? Or any thoughts they may have on my plan above?

Thanks!!
