Giving a free domain with every purchase

spark92

Question

Hi,

I cant understand if this is possible with WHMCS or not... but is it possible to give my customers a free domain with every purchase of my hosting?

Also can I give the option to the customers to pay Monthly or to get a discount by paying semi-annually or annually?

Finally can I allow my customers to choose a free software to install when buying the hosting? Something like PhpBB?

I really like the look of this... But these three things are really important to me :)

Cheers,

Spark92

Another question...

Can I integrate WHMCS with Invision Power Board so that different user groups get different buying features

eg.

Guests - Cannot buy

Members - Buy normal product

VIPs - Buy normal product with enhanced features

Staff - Get normal product for free

Thanks again,

I can answer a couple of those questions.

Yes, giving out free domains with a hosting purchase is possible, and quite easy to do. You can restrict it down to which products get free, and which payment terms.

Yes, when setting prices for packages you can have prices for monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, biennially. You just reflect the discount in your term pricing.

WHMCS can't install custom software as is, but you could do that in your checkoutscript which WHMCS executes when something is successfully purchased from memory.

Also, you could do it by using a special WHM package and use postwwwacct (see my stuff here for help). The way this works is that WHM runs the postwwwacct stuff after the account is created. You can then use the cpanel package name to determine what software should be installed into the user account. We do this here and it works well. I suspect this is going to be a simpler approach than doing it from WHMCS.
