jimboulay
Hi there, I have been trying to fix this for a few weeks now. This problem is strange and I did not see anyone commenting about it on the web. Problem is still there and needs to be resolved, but I just found a way to temporarily bypass it. Here was my problem : For some reasons, I suddenly could not login to admin area with my super administrator WHMCS account. When i logged in it waits, waits, waits and then I got a timeout, every time, on any browser, any computers I tried. Strangely, my "non-super" admin accounts could log in without any problems. My suctomers could also log in client-area without any problems. What I tried After I tried to login with my super administrator, I got a timeout, but, the session cookie thing was in the browser anyway, because, when I tried to get to client areas after my timeout login attempt, I got the message saying "return to admin area" or something. Still, this link would give me a timeout. I tried to "repair" my whmcs installation, I tried to boost my php ini settings insanely (memory, time limit, etc.), I tried a fresh WHMCS install with my DB, I tried to "repair" my DB, all those things didn't work at all. The logs gave me basic timeout warning lines without much infos. How I found the source The fact that some admin could log in and that I could really puzzled me and I tried to "reproduce" the error on another admin account. I compared the administrator role permissions between the admins and added the missing permissions one by one until I found the ONE role that was generating the login problem : "system health status". What I did to bypass the problem Once I unchecked that role, I could login with my Super administrator account without problem! Why the problem still needs to be resolved Then, the thing is, that deactivated role prevent me specificaly to access this health status page that could help me identify the problem behind all that 😛 So if someone know of this issue or know the cause of this, it would be awesome!!!!
